Lithuanian Displaced Persons Community

Formally established March 1-4, 1946 in Hanau, Germany. Created organizational structure for Lithuanian DP camps with administrative, educational, cultural, and social welfare functions. Operated Lithuanian schools, published newspapers, organized cultural events, and maintained community cohesion during the uncertain DP period (1945-1951).
